Current Events:

On March 17, 2010, at 5:30 pm in the Harney County Circuit Courtroom; the Harney County Planning Commission will hold a meeting to discuss Article 4: Section 4.130. Supplementary Zoning Criteria from the proposed Harney County Zoning Ordinance. The proposed updates to the Zoning Ordinance are part of the technical updating program initiated in 2008 to streamline the County Planning Documents. Follow link for full public notice.

The public has been invited to participate in revising the Harney County Comprehensive Plan. Below are both the existing Harney County Comprehensive Plan and the Proposed Revised Harney County Comprehensive Plan. The Proposed Revised Harney County Comprehensive Plan was adopted on November 23, 2009, and will come into effect 90 days from the date of that adoption. The Notice of Adoption has been sent to DLCD. The recording number is Ord. 2009-66.
